Worth to mention about the upset in a game betweenAhuachapan (1-2) and Santiagueno (1-1), which took place in Usultan. Ahuachapan lost to Santiagueno in a road game 78-93 on Saturday. Santiagueno outrebounded Ahuachapan 64-42 including a 43-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Santiagueno looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Colombian center John Hernandez (207-1984) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 30 rebounds. American point guard Darius Daniels (178-1997, agency: Fully Feared Sports) accounted for 29 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side. American forward Kordell Brown (201, college: Columbus St., agency: Fully Feared Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard EJ Blackwell (193, college: Lourdes) added 23 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) respectively for Ahuachapan in the defeat. Four Santiagueno and five Ahuachapan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
